Radclyffe Hall is considered a Lesbian literary icon and wrote the book The Well of Loneliness published in 1928. Radclyffe wrote eight novels, but only The Well of Loneliness had Lesbian theme. It was banned in Britain and not overturned until after her death in 1943. It is now considered a classic in Queer literature.
